Meet the Staff- Kelsey

Hello – I’m Kelsey! I’m the Store Manager of our downtown Gettysburg location, Cider House. I'm a dog-obsessed Steelers fan who was raised in Maryland with Pennsylvania being my true home state. When I’m not at Cider House (which is rare) you’ll catch me spending time with my husband & our dog at our numerous favorite Adams County locations.

When I started working at Cider House, I was more of a sweet wine & cider drinker, yet in my time here I’ve gradually become fonder of dryer wines & ciders – my current favorites being our dry red wine, Nebbiolo, & our semi-sweet cider, Pear Bear.

Stop in to Cider House on Baltimore Street – I look forward to helping you find your favorite wine & cider!

Meet the Staff- Andi

Our next person we would like to introduce is is a bit about her. :)

My name is Andi  I have called many places home in my life but was born and raised in Washington, D.C.  My background is in teaching, art and special events.  Some of my projects included working with the late Katherine Graham at the Washington Post, The Smithsonian and the White House during the Clinton administration.

After 9/11 my husband, two young daughters and I escaped to a small town in rural PA.  I had always dreamed of living on a farm and having horses.  Seven horses, two dogs, three cats, a bunny and a hermit crab later……

I love making people smile and I am passionate about educating our guests on all of Reid’s amazing wines.   I have to admit the dry reds are my absolute favorite. Out of the eight we currently offer, the Sangiovese wins the prize for me.  Its smoothness and finish are second to none.  I look forward to meeting you and helping you discover your favorite Reid’s wine.

Meet the Staff- Suzanne

Welcome to our blog! It is something I wanted to start a little while ago, but now I finally have the chance.  For the first few entries, I am going to be introducing you to everyone here at Reid’s that helps keep things going.  My name is Suzanne, and I have been working at Reid’s for the past 5 and a half years.  I am the office manager officially, but I wear many hats.  Over the years, I have worked farmers markets in Virginia and Baltimore and worked in both tasting rooms.  I am also responsible for most of the behind the scenes work- keeping up with the website and social media, helping to design wine labels and even jumping in to help bottle when needed.  If you email us about anything, I am probably the one that you will talk to. One of the things that I love about working here is that I never know what to expect from day to day, so each day is definitely an adventure.
A little bit about me…I grew up outside of Philadelphia, and I went to college in Maryland where I studied psychology and neuroscience.  After college, I spent a year in Florida working with AmeriCorps, and then I worked various jobs until I started working at Reid’s.  I live with my husband Philip (more about him in a later entry!) our son, and our cat.  When I am not at work, I enjoy reading and playing video games.
My favorite type of wines are usually red wines, but I also love our Blueberry Wine.  My favorite ciders are the Mt. Top Hop and Sweet Scarlet.
That is about it for me.  Thanks for reading, and I hope you will check out the page again to read about everyone else!
